Only in NYC

I got a gift card for the Virgin megastore this Christmas. Yesterday I decided to cash this gift in, so I took the Subway down to Union Square. I found some neat vinyl on sale MC5, These New Puritans, and Kraftwerk are now mine. I was checking out the $5 classic CD's. I had Velvet Underground-White Light, White Heat, and then I picked up Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth. I look around and directly to my left is Thurston Moore. I have a weird feeling in my stomach like when you see a celebrity except this guy has 5 CD's in his hands and is browsing right next to me. I made some small talk with him and felt a little silly buying this CD but he said that he loved MC5 so I felt kinda cool. Anyways what are the chances you pick up a CD and the person who wrote most of the music on it is standing right next to you!!
